UASBAnaerobic reactor

The upflow anaerobic sludge bedUASBprocess has the dual characteristics of anaerobic filtration and anaerobic activated sludge process, and is a technology that can convert pollutants in sewage into renewable clean energy biogas.
UASBThe basic principle of the reactor is: the main part of the reactor can be divided into two areas, namely the reaction area and the three-phase separation area of gas, liquid and solid. In the lower part of the reaction area is an anaerobic sludge bed formed by sludge with good sedimentation performance; wastewater enters the bottom of the reactor through the water distribution system, flows upward through the anaerobic sludge bed, and fully contacts and reacts with the anaerobic sludge. The organic matter is converted into methane and carbon dioxide, and the gas, liquid and solid are separated by the upper three-phase separator. Effectively utilize the coagulation and solidification effects of anaerobic bacteria themselves to form granular sludge under certain hydraulic conditions. These high-concentration granular sludges have a large specific surface area and high activity. These granular activated sludges complete the treatment of organic matter.
