       1Insufficient sludge concentration: The sedimentation tank is a key unit for removing suspended solids and some organic matter through sedimentation. If the sludge concentration is insufficient, the sludge cannot effectively capture and settle suspended solids during the sedimentation process, resulting in a higher concentration of suspended solids in the effluent.
       2Insufficient settling time: Suspended solids in the settling tank need enough time to settle and separate. If the sedimentation time is insufficient, the sedimentation tank cannot fully complete the sedimentation of suspended solids, causing part of the suspended solids to be brought to the effluent, resulting in substandard water quality.
       3Insufficient stirring in the sedimentation tank: The operating status of the mixing system in the sedimentation tank will affect the sedimentation effect. Insufficient stirring will cause the suspended solids to be unable to fully combine with the sludge, affecting the sedimentation effect and thus affecting the effluent quality.
       4, Sedimentation tank leakage: Sedimentation tank leakage will cause mixing between incoming water and effluent water, thereby reducing the sedimentation effect and affecting the effluent water quality.
       5, Sedimentation tank overload: The design capacity and processing capacity of the sedimentation tank need to match the incoming water volume. If the incoming water volume is greater than the processing capacity of the sedimentation tank, the sedimentation tank will not be able to fully complete the sedimentation process, resulting in substandard effluent water quality.
       6Unreasonable operating parameters of the sedimentation tank: The operating parameters of the sedimentation tank, such as stirring speed, sludge concentration, inlet water flow, etc., need to be adjusted and controlled according to the actual situation. If the parameter settings are unreasonable, it will affect the sedimentation effect and thus affect the effluent quality.
